Gigi Hadid Says Khai Has Her Own Runway Security

Gigi Hadid may spend her professional life walking runways, but at home she apparently has a smaller fashion star to protect. E! News reports that Hadid shared how she plays security while her five-year-old daughter, Khai, practices her own runway walk.

The setup is less celebrity power move than classic mother-daughter role-play—with a couture twist. Khai gets to take the walk, while Hadid takes on the job of managing the scene around it. That detail gives the story its charm: the supermodel is not presenting herself as the main attraction, but as the person helping her daughter stage one.

Related coverage from Reality Tea frames Khai as already “calling the shots” on the runway, adding a little more personality to the picture. The available reporting does not establish that Khai is pursuing modeling professionally, and it does not show a formal fashion project involving her. What it does show is a child experimenting with a world closely associated with her mother—and a parent describing the moment rather than announcing a career launch.

That distinction matters, especially when a famous parent’s child becomes the headline. This is a glimpse of imaginative play and family life, not evidence that Khai has been booked for a campaign or is being positioned as Hadid’s successor. For now, the most entertaining casting decision is simple: Khai gets the runway, and Gigi gets the velvet-rope assignment.

With E! News reporting Hadid’s account and related coverage repeating the same basic premise, the story feels credible as a light family anecdote. The fashion dynasty, if there is one, remains firmly in the practice-walk stage.
