The Hogan Family Feud Just Dragged a 2008 Affair Back Into the Group Chat

Brooke Hogan says loving her mother does not mean staying quiet while Linda denies the story that helped fracture the family’s public history.

Some families pass down heirlooms. The Hogans pass down old interviews, Instagram comments and one extremely durable scandal.

Brooke Hogan has once again been pulled into the family’s long-running drama after her mother, Linda Hogan, pushed back on Brooke’s account of the alleged affair that changed the way she saw her father, Hulk Hogan. The dispute reaches back to 2008, but thanks to one Instagram comment and a fresh round of public statements, it has landed right back in the present tense.

“I genuinely hope she finds whatever help and healing she needs,” Brooke told Us Weekly on Sept. 25, referring to Linda. “She’s my mom, and I love her. But loving someone doesn’t mean allowing them to keep bullying you, publicly rewriting history or provoking you and expecting you to stay silent.”

That is not a daughter casually subtweeting at brunch. That is a daughter opening the family archive, turning to the page everyone thought had been permanently laminated, and saying: Actually, we’re discussing this again.

The comment that reopened the Hogan vault

The immediate spark was Linda responding beneath an Instagram post featuring Brooke’s comments about her relationship with Hulk. Brooke had previously described how her connection with her father changed after he allegedly had sex with her former best friend, Christiane Plante.

Linda’s response was blunt: “I was there and no he didn’t.”

Brooke’s latest statement arrives as a direct rejection of that version of events. She did not present the family conflict as a single explosive blowup, either. Instead, her language framed it as the cumulative damage of being publicly contradicted, provoked and— in her view—having history rewritten around her.

The story Linda disputed has been part of the Hogan family mythology for nearly two decades. In 2008, Plante alleged to the National Enquirer that she had slept with Hulk while he and Linda privately understood their marriage was ending. At the time, Linda’s publicist Gary Smith told E! News that Linda had ended the marriage after discovering Hulk’s alleged affair with Brooke’s best friend, adding that “Hulk’s cheating” was the reason she filed for divorce.

Hulk never personally addressed the allegations before his death in 2025 at age 71. His publicist said in 2009 that the relationship took place when he believed his marriage to Linda was already irreparably over. That framing did not erase the scandal; it simply gave the saga another competing explanation, which is exactly the kind of fuel a celebrity family story can burn for years.

From Hogan Knows Best to nobody knows best

The reason this still hits is not just that the names are famous. It is that the Hogans spent years selling an image of family closeness in public.

On VH1’s Hogan Knows Best, which ran for two seasons beginning in 2005, Hulk, Linda, Brooke and Nick Hogan were presented as a larger-than-life reality-TV unit: loud, glossy, aggressively affectionate and permanently available for a camera. They appeared together at awards shows, album events and red carpets, embodying the mid-2000s celebrity-family fantasy before that fantasy became a cautionary tale.

Then the family structure started collapsing in public. Linda filed for divorce from Hulk in 2007, and the alleged affair involving Plante became part of the fallout. Brooke, who had once been closely tied to her father, later made clear that the damage was not limited to the original allegation. She has described the relationship as changing after the alleged betrayal, particularly because Plante had been her friend.

That distinction matters. The old headline is “wrestling star allegedly cheats.” Brooke’s version is more intimate and more brutal: the person at the center of the story was not simply a stranger from the celebrity periphery, but someone from her own circle. The scandal moved from marriage drama to family trauma.

Brooke’s public relationship with Hulk continued for years, but the distance became unmistakable. In 2023, she explained on Instagram that she had chosen to create space from her family while focusing on people and things that supported her healing, happiness, beliefs and goals. She did not attend Hulk’s wedding to his third wife, Sky Daily, that same year.

By March 2025, Linda said in an Instagram Story that Brooke no longer spoke to either parent. Linda mentioned that Brooke had married hockey player Steven Oleksy and welcomed twins, Molly and Oliver, without telling her parents. Brooke later said the estrangement from her father did not come from one dramatic confrontation, but from a series of respectful disagreements that had taken an emotional toll on her health.

The posthumous family fight nobody can log off from

Hulk’s death has not quieted the family story. If anything, it has removed the possibility of a private reset and left the surviving members speaking around a person who can no longer answer for himself.

In July 2025, Brooke wrote that she knew she had done everything she could for her father and that he knew how deeply she loved him. “I am at peace knowing this,” she said. It was a statement of grief, but also a boundary: love could remain real even when contact had ended.

Now Linda is challenging one of the central memories Brooke has attached to that estrangement. That makes the latest exchange less like a fresh celebrity spat and more like a fight over who gets to narrate the family’s past. Brooke is saying the affair allegation shaped her bond with Hulk. Linda is saying the alleged affair did not happen. Both positions land in the same emotional territory: the past is not staying buried, and neither woman is willing to let the other have the final edit.

The internet, naturally, has treated the whole thing like a surprise reunion episode of Hogan Knows Best, except the cameras are Instagram comments and everyone has learned the word “boundaries.” There is a particular discomfort to watching a family that once monetized togetherness now litigate its memories in public. The old show offered a carefully lit version of the Hogans. The current story is what happens when every member starts producing their own director’s cut.

Brooke’s most pointed line—loving someone does not mean allowing them to bully you or rewrite history—also explains why this dispute feels bigger than a decades-old cheating allegation. It is about the right to describe what family damage felt like from inside the house, even when another relative remembers the same years differently.

And so the Hogan saga keeps refusing its finale. Hulk is gone. The marriage ended long ago. The reality show belongs to another television era. But one Instagram comment was enough to send the whole family back into the ring, where the bell apparently never stops ringing.

Florence Pugh Has Found the Sexiest Relationship Status: Not a Secret, Not Your Business

The actor is happy, secure and very much not interested in turning her romance with Finn Cole into a public group project.

Florence Pugh has a message for anyone waiting patiently—or aggressively—for a full tour of her love life: the relationship is real, she is happy, and the rest can stay behind the velvet rope.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, Pugh offered a rare update on her romance with fellow actor Finn Cole, the Peaky Blinders star she has been linked to since 2024. Her explanation for keeping things private was refreshingly modern: she does not want to be hidden, but she also has no interest in making her relationship available for public consumption on demand.

“I don’t want to be a secret,” Pugh said. “But I also don’t want everything to be divulged.”

That is not a breakup tease, a soft-launch breadcrumb or a carefully staged couple’s campaign. It is something much more radical in celebrity culture: a famous woman saying the romance exists without handing over the password.

Florence Pugh Is Keeping the Door Closed, Not Locked

Pugh, 30, described the relationship in distinctly un-Hollywood language. She said she feels “solid and safe and sturdy,” adding that the connection is “worth its weight in gold” in their lives.

There is a lot packed into those three words. “Safe” is the one celebrities tend to reach for when they want to communicate that a relationship is emotionally meaningful without narrating every date night. “Solid” suggests this is not just a glamorous festival flirtation or a two-month paparazzi subplot. “Sturdy” is practically an anti-rumor statement. It is not flashy, but it has the unmistakable energy of someone who has decided that peace is hotter than performance.

Cole even joked with her before the interview that he might appear and become part of the conversation himself. As Pugh recalled, he asked, “Well, shall I pop by?” It is an exceedingly cute detail—and also a reminder that this is not a one-sided privacy policy. The relationship appears to be something they are choosing to protect together, rather than a situation where one person is hiding in the wings while the other does all the explaining.

That distinction matters for Pugh, who has previously been criticized for her romantic choices and has spoken openly about the pressure surrounding her four-year relationship with Zach Braff. Pugh and Braff dated from 2019 to 2022, and the age gap became a recurring public conversation even as Pugh repeatedly defended the relationship.

With Cole, she seems less interested in arguing with the audience at all.

The Romance Started With a Festival Glimpse, Then a Boundary

Pugh and Cole were first romantically linked after an outing at Glastonbury in June 2024. A few months later, she acknowledged the relationship while speaking to British Vogue, though even then she resisted the urge to slap a neat label on it.

“We are figuring what we actually are,” she said at the time. “And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster. I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.”

That quote now reads less like early-stage uncertainty and more like a blueprint. Pugh was not trying to generate suspense; she was trying to avoid turning a new relationship into a race toward public definition. In an industry where couples can go from first sighting to coordinated red carpet appearances to engagement speculation before anyone has learned each other’s coffee order, taking time is almost a rebellious act.

She also identified what she wanted from a relationship with unusual clarity: “Safety, family, a home,” followed by “security.” Those are not words associated with a celebrity romance designed to feed the algorithm. They sound like the foundation of a life she wants to build away from the algorithm.

And yet Pugh has not treated Cole like a forbidden name. In March, she shared a sweet red-carpet shot from a date night with him. That is the sweet spot she appears to have landed on: visible enough to acknowledge the person beside her, private enough to keep the relationship from becoming a serialized entertainment product.

The New Celebrity Hard Launch Is Sometimes a Soft Boundary

For years, the celebrity relationship playbook came with two settings. Either a couple denied everything until they were photographed leaving the same restaurant three nights in a row, or they arrived on a red carpet in matching looks and made the relationship official with the subtlety of a fireworks display.

Now there is a third option: tell the truth, share the occasional beautiful moment, and refuse to provide a director’s commentary.

Pugh’s approach is especially striking because she understands the appeal of a public romance. She is one of the most recognizable actors of her generation, Cole has his own devoted audience thanks to Peaky Blinders and Gangs of London, and their shared profession gives the pairing a ready-made narrative. Two charismatic actors, one festival sighting, a red-carpet appearance, and enough mystery to keep everyone checking for updates: the internet would happily turn that into a 12-part series.

Instead, Pugh is offering something far less convenient and arguably far more compelling. She is saying the relationship can be important without being content. It can be acknowledged without being dissected. It can be public in the broadest sense and still belong to the people actually living it.

That may be the most interesting thing about this romance so far. Not the Glastonbury sighting. Not the red carpet. Not even the possibility of Cole “popping by” mid-interview. The real plot is Pugh learning how to be seen without surrendering the entire room.

“I don’t want to be a secret” is the hard launch. “I don’t want everything to be divulged” is the boundary. Together, they make a very convincing case for a celebrity relationship that is neither hidden nor hungry for attention—and Florence Pugh seems perfectly happy living in that space.

Julia Haart’s Divorce Just Got a Wild New Plot Twist: Her Ex Has a No-Bail Warrant

Silvio Scaglia’s $90 million split from the “My Unorthodox Life” star was supposed to be over. Instead, a judge is demanding 14 days in jail after repeated court absences and alleged transfers of marital assets.

Julia Haart and Silvio Scaglia finally ended their four-year, $90 million divorce battle a few weeks ago, with Haart walking away with Elite World Group and the couple’s $57 million Tribeca apartment. In a normal divorce story, that would be the closing credits: one glamorous ex takes the agency, the other takes the financial migraine, and everybody retreats to separate corners of Manhattan or Europe.

But this is not a normal divorce story. This is the world of My Unorthodox Life, where the courtroom drama appears to have its own sequel, spinoff and international travel budget.

According to court papers obtained by Page Six, a New York judge has issued a no-bail bench warrant for Scaglia’s arrest and ordered him jailed for 14 days. The judge found him in both civil and criminal contempt after concluding that he knowingly and willfully violated court orders, including repeated failures to appear when required.

So while Haart’s legal war with her former husband may have technically reached a settlement, Scaglia’s legal problems are apparently still very much in production.

The divorce ended. The courtroom did not.

Haart and Scaglia’s split began in 2022, after a marriage that had moved at the speed of a luxury-brand launch. Scaglia, the Italian businessman who bought Elite in 2011, appointed Haart as CEO of the famed modeling agency in 2019. They married later that year, turning their personal and professional partnership into one glossy, highly visible package.

Then everything detonated.

Their breakup triggered years of lawsuits and countersuits over Elite, its affiliated companies and the money moving through the businesses they had built and operated together. Haart, a fashion designer and the star of Netflix’s My Unorthodox Life, alleged that Scaglia moved marital assets after the divorce proceedings had begun. Court papers cited by Page Six say Scaglia transferred the firm without Haart’s permission and “siphon[ed]” assets from the former couple.

That phrase is doing a lot of work, but the surrounding details are even more cinematic. The judge previously found that Scaglia had used company funds to buy Bentleys, Porsches and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. Haart had also accused him of shifting assets while their divorce was already underway, something the court described as impermissible during divorce proceedings.

Scaglia’s attorneys have previously denied the allegations. Scaglia and his representatives did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

Meanwhile, Europe was serving yacht season

The timing is what gives this saga its particularly sharp edge. While the New York court was still demanding compliance, Scaglia appeared to be living in Italy and enjoying a distinctly less penitential lifestyle, according to Page Six: yachts, spritzes and shopping for a $342,000 heart-shaped diamond ring with his new wife, Michelle-Marie Heinemann.

It is a striking contrast to the legal picture now laid out in court papers. On one side: a judge’s order for immediate jail time, a no-bail warrant and allegations involving company assets. On the other: luxury boats, European sunshine and an enormous piece of heart-shaped jewelry that sounds less like an engagement accessory than a prop from a very expensive divorce-themed music video.

Neither the lifestyle imagery nor the romantic grand gesture changes the legal issue. The warrant stems from Scaglia’s repeated failure to appear as ordered and from the judge’s findings about his handling of assets during the proceedings. But the optics are almost aggressively on-brand for a story that has always mixed fashion, money, marriage and business into one oversized social spectacle.

Page Six also reported in 2024 that a court had ordered Scaglia jailed for ignoring an order to pay Haart $300,000. The latest ruling adds another chapter to that pattern, with the judge still seeking consequences for what the court described as violations of its orders.

Haart gets Elite. Scaglia gets another legal cliffhanger.

The biggest material outcome of the divorce is now clear: Haart has been awarded 100 percent of Elite World Group and the Tribeca apartment. The court found that Scaglia had already transferred the value of his share of the company “and then some” to himself in the form of cash, sports cars and other assets.

That ruling radically changes the balance of the story. Elite was not just a company attached to the marriage; it was the professional empire around which their public identity was built. Haart became the face of the agency during their relationship, while Scaglia remained its owner and financial power center. Their split therefore became a fight over more than who got the apartment or which account paid which bill. It was a battle over control of a major fashion institution and the narrative of who had built what.

For Haart, the result is a dramatic reversal from the moment their marriage collapsed. She now has the agency, the apartment and a court judgment that, according to Page Six, found Scaglia had already extracted value from the company. For Scaglia, the divorce settlement has not delivered anything resembling a clean exit. He is still facing the judge’s demand for jail time, and Page Six reports that he has yet to submit to US authorities.

The whole thing has the strange afterlife of a reality-TV finale that refuses to end. The marriage is over. The business has been awarded. The glamorous cast members have moved on to new partners and different continents. Yet the legal machinery keeps pulling the camera back into the room.

And that may be the most Julia Haart development imaginable: even after the $90 million divorce is settled, the real finale is still waiting for its final scene.
